Men's pec augmentation
Defined. Athletic. Yours.
More men are choosing pectoral augmentation for the chest definition the gym has not delivered. Dr. Palladino sizes and places the implants to work with the muscle you already have.
Pectoral implant surgery is a cosmetic procedure designed to improve the appearance of the male chest region and present a more masculine physique. Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Humberto Palladino treats men of all ages who desire greater chest definition.
Women have breast augmentation for shape and size; men have pectoral augmentation, and where appropriate pectoral implants, for definition. Genetics decides a great deal of what training can produce. When exercise and diet alone have not delivered the chest contour you want, there are options worth hearing about.
Dr. Palladino serves Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Boca Raton, North Palm Beach, and the surrounding areas. All surgery carries inherent risks, and candidacy is determined during your personal one-on-one consultation.

The procedure
Implants engineered for men
Not all chest implants are the same. Men's pectoral implants are engineered for male anatomy, and they differ in both material and design from those used in female breast augmentation.
Purpose-Built Implants
Engineered for masculine anatomy
- Men's pectoral implants are smooth, flexible, and solid
- They do not contain silicone gel, so the probability of leaking is nil
- Virtually break-resistant and far less complicated than female breast implants
- Designed to mimic the natural contour and firmness of developed pectoral muscle
- Placed beneath the pectoralis major for a natural, athletic appearance

Working with Dr. Palladino
Preparing and recovering, step by step
You will likely find pec augmentation surgery to be less complicated than you imagined. Pectoral augmentation and implants can be performed at our surgery center. It typically only takes a few hours of your time.
Plan to bring someone with you. Anesthesia will be administered, so you will need a ride home, and rest matters in the days after pec augmentation surgery.
Some patients choose to combine pec augmentation with other procedures such as tummy tuck or liposuction. In these cases, additional time in surgery and recovery will be required. Do not eat, drink, shave, or apply lotions on the evening before or on the day of your surgery. Anesthesia can only be administered on an empty stomach.
You should also stay out of direct sun, tanning booths, and UV rays for at least six weeks after pec augmentation. Everyone heals differently; taking proper care of your skin and body is essential to getting the most from your results. Dr. Palladino will answer all of your questions during your consultation.

Men's pec augmentation, answered
Ideal candidates are men who are in good overall health and are unhappy with their chest definition despite consistent exercise and a healthy diet. Genetics plays a significant role in muscle shape and volume. No matter how diligently you train, some men cannot achieve the chest contour they want through exercise alone. Candidacy, realistic expectations, and the right approach for your anatomy are all determined during your personal consultation with Dr. Palladino.
Because men and women differ greatly in the texture and structure of the chest, the implants used to enhance their chests differ as well. The silicone gel implants used in women are designed to be much softer. Men's pec implants are smooth, flexible, and solid. They do not contain silicone gel, so the probability of leaking is nil. Men's pectoral implants are virtually break-resistant and far less complicated than those used in female breast augmentation.
Yes. Some patients combine pec augmentation with procedures such as tummy tuck or liposuction to address more of the body in a single recovery. Combining procedures means additional time in surgery and a longer recovery. Dr. Palladino will advise on what is safe and appropriate for your situation during your consultation.
